As Term 1 comes to a close, Rangitoto College was delighted to celebrate student success at our first Special Assemblies of 2024. These ceremonies offer students, teachers, and caregivers the opportunity to acknowledge the incredible work of our students this term.

Last Friday we hosted our sixth annual Golf Day!

This year we were raising funds for our Performing Arts Department to upgrade our stage and lighting facilities, as well as for our Hardship Fund. We are delighted to announce that our 52 sponsors contributed $22,150 worth of donations/prizes and we were able to raise a total profit of $26,225!

We also had a very special Hole in One Winner on #9 - Roger Bridge, who won a 7 day cruise for two to Hawaii proudly sponsored by @shore.travel and @norwegiancruiseline.

Our biggest thanks go to our Primary Sponsors—The Merchant and Co, Sals Pizza, Subway Constellation Drive, and Gilmours North Shore who kept our golfers refreshed and fed all day!

Last Saturday, Rangitoto College participated in the annual event, Relay for Life. The day was held to raise funds and awareness for those who have passed from cancer and the families affected by it. Our theme this year was Superheros and our kura saw approximately 500 students get involved with activities available such as walking, running, line-dancing, talent quest, yoga and so much more.

Year 12 Gateway and Year 13 Pathways to Employment students recently attended a Great Success Workshop where they learned about active listening, effective communication with customers, and how to provide customer service with confidence.
