Meeting times or event scheduled dates:  Year 13 students tutor for one of their study periods per six day cycle.

Location: Learning Support Office – D Block

Year 13 student tutors volunteer one of their study periods during the six day cycle to support a junior student who has additional needs over two terms.

Each year, we offer Year 13 students the opportunity to give back to the school by donating one of their study periods to support a junior student who has additional needs.

Are you…

  • a sporting representative for the college,
  • have worked really hard to gain the results you are rightly proud of,
  • looking to apply for a sports scholarship possibly overseas,
  • found that school has not always been easy, but you have got to Year 13!

…..then this could be an opportunity for you. This is a really amazing experience and testament to the positivity and inclusivity of our college community. Training includes disability awareness and providing students with the opportunity to understand how it feels to be challenged by additional needs.

During one of their study periods they will then support a junior student in class and receive recognition for this which will go on their student profile. This is especially helpful for scholarship applications and future employment.

Rangitoto Summit Diploma
