Waka Ama

We are excited to offer Waka Ama, a relatively new sport at Rangitoto College. Our training takes place at Sylvan Park Lake Pupuke.

Throughout the year.

Game Days

Saturdays in Term 1 and Term 4.

Training Times

New paddlers - Wednesdays 3.30 pm - 5 pm. All year levels - Thursdays 3.30 pm - 5 pm.

There are two racing components during Term 2 and 3: long distance open water surfing races and the second component of racing is sprints which is 250m and 500m during summer – Term 1 and Term 4.

Venues and transport

Sylvan Park, Lake Pupuke, and Orakei Basin. Own transport is required, carpooling is encouraged.

Uniform

Rangitoto blue PE tee with plain white or black shorts.
