Hockey

The school caters for a wide range of levels from the highly experienced to someone who has picked up a hockey stick for the very first time in their lives.

In 2023 we had 3 boys and 7 girls teams that play in a range of Harbour Hockey and College Sport Auckland grades. 

We have an external coach who has created a development programme within the school who regularly runs skills and drills clinics to improve the overall hockey here at Rangitoto College.

In the past, the school has hosted two international test matches between Korea and New Zealand, and the Black Sticks men and women have also used the schools world class turf as a training venue.

All games are played at either Rangitoto College turf, North Harbour Hockey Centre, or other North Shore Venues. It is the student’s responsibility to get to and from trainings and venues.

All players (boys and girls) are required to purchase socks $15.00 from our Uniform Shoppe beside the tennis courts

GIRLS kukri dresses – $65.00

BOYS can use their kukri PE top – $42.00 and must also purchase PE shorts $42.00
