The pick up and play initiative is a service opportunity for our Year 9 and 10 students to serve the school community through sport and physical activity initiatives.

Pick up and play runs for 5 weeks (between week 6 to 10) every lunchtime. Each term focuses on a different sport allowing students to participate in a range of activities.

The purpose of this service activity is for our junior students to learn and develop their interpersonal and leadership skills, connect with other students, and engage in another aspect of student life at Rangitoto College.

Rangitoto Summit Diploma

Year 9 and Year 10 students need to complete a certain number of lunchtime sessions for their service to qualify so that it can be added onto their student profile — typically 3 hours.
