Helping Hands is a group who give up 4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning to work in a factory. The money raised goes to organisations who help those who are struggling in our community.

Helping Hands students have an opportunity to develop a range of life skills.

We have donated money to organisations such as Women’s Refuge, Orange Sky and Auckland City Mission. We have also used some of the money raised to purchase pyjamas for children which were donated to the Middlemore Foundation “Jammies in June” project.

Year 9 and Year 10 students need to undertake 4 voluntary hours with Helping Hands to qualify towards the Rangitoto Summit Diploma.

Students need to be able to provide their own transport to and from the job site in Silverdale.
