This whakataukī reflects the reciprocal flow between the child and their whānau. How both nurture and uplift one another, and how this collective strength extends into the wider world.
The aim of our whānau hui is to bring our Māori community together each term to create strong connections. Our whānau hui is a space for nurturing the well-being and growth in kaupapa Māori, of whānau alongside their tamariki. It is an opportunity to reflect on the learnings and experiences of our rangatahi at Rangitoto College.
Central to our hui is the platform it offers our ākonga to express and celebrate the mātauranga they have acquired through engagement with te ao Māori. These hui are instrumental in empowering our whānau and community, ensuring the mana of our ancestors’ wisdom and traditions are lived experiences.
