After Cyclone Gabrielle put a dampener on our first attempt at Student Leadership Camp in February, we were very pleased to get our second attempt off the ground in March, and with much better weather. This year, our 38 amazing Student Leaders had an incredible time at Peter Snell Youth Village in Whangaparaoa sharpening their leadership skills across two very busy days.

The students received excellent leadership seminars from Peter Morton, Patrick Gale, George May, and their three incredible Deans, Tessa Garton-Voice, Sharon Redpath, and Mark Wilson, on a variety of leadership topics including knowing your people, knowing your support networks, enacting a vision, and knowing when to manage your stress. These seminars were coupled with team-building exercises on the giant waterslide, the beach, and the archery and rifle ranges. The Student Leaders returned to school excited to lead the college to new horizons.

A huge thank you to the Year 13 Deans for all their mahi in making the Student Leadership Camp a huge success.
