This recognition is designed to show these Alumni that the college appreciates that some of their formative education took place at Rangitoto College and in a sense, it is welcoming them home. It is also expected that this recognition will be both inspirational and aspirational for our current students, providing them with role models that have achieved in ways they can aim to emulate. 

Our Honourees are admired on a daily basis by having a plaque on our ‘wall of fame’ in the foyer of the auditorium. This plaque has their photograph and details of their significant achievements so that our current students, teachers and members of the school community are able to view this when entering the auditorium. 

The Summit Academy dinner is a biennial event that not only celebrates our Honourees, but includes a three course dinner, beverages and entertainment by our current students from our award winning Performing Arts Department. Alumni and their friends/family, current parents, current staff, past staff and the wider Rangi community are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring guests with them.
