The heart of our campus has gained a powerful new focal point: E Tipu e Rea (Grow and Flourish), our new statue, now stands proudly beneath the sweeping canopy of the Pōhutukawa in the main bus bay. This sculpture is a testament to the unwavering spirit of collaboration that defines our school community.
The original idea, created by student Mikey Te Paa, was brought into the digital realm by artist Ruben Jooste, who transformed the initial concept into a finished design, with technical assistance from Ben Pollard. The resulting sculpture perfectly captures the meaning of its title: a call to every student to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
This installation is a legacy project, illustrating the deep value we place on partnership and cultural connection. We extend our gratitude to our dedicated staff for their tireless work in supporting and championing this initiative. It is a symbol of partnership, a celebration of student creativity, and a perpetual reminder to Grow and Flourish.
