Personal Property

Student Responsibility

Students are responsible for their own personal property. To help us return items quickly, we encourage all personal belongings to be clearly named. If you have purchased second-hand items, please ensure the correct name is now visible.

Items that are often not named include:

  • Hop cards
  • Phones
  • Earbuds
  • School jackets
  • PE bags

Process of return

  • Named items: Clearly named items handed into lost property are returned to students as soon as possible.
  • Unnamed items: These are held in the Student Office for around two weeks. Unclaimed uniform items without a legible name are added to the supply of loan uniforms for students who are temporarily without the correct item. If there is an oversupply, a small number of unnamed items may be made available to students who have lost theirs.
  • Valuables: Items such as jewellery, glasses, and mobile phones are kept securely in a locked cupboard and advertised in the school notices. If they remain uncollected at the end of the school year, they are donated to charity.

Checking for Lost Items Students should visit the Student Office to enquire about any lost property. Parents are also welcome to phone the Student Office on 477 0150 ext 621 to check with Mrs Hastie if an item has been handed in.
