Rangitoto College is looking for an experienced and capable retail manager.
25 hours per term time week with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work and extra days at the start mid-Jan and end of the season mid-Dec.
Rangitoto offers the successful applicant a competitive hourly rate, a warm and inclusive working culture, parking, access to our library and fitness centre. Our shop caters to 4100 students with the bulk of retail school uniform sales between November and March. Flexibility is required with peak seasonal needs such as Sports, Domestic and International student intakes at the start and end of the summer break. Further availability is required for 3-5 evening/weekend enrolment events per annum.
Our successful applicant will have a passion for delivering excellence in customer service with demonstrated successful staff and retail management. This is very much a hands-on position with sole charge in quiet seasonsand management of temporary part time assistant staff during peak times.
A critical part of this role is the ability to work calmly under pressure, especially during the busy start of the year season when the successful applicant will manage both adult and student staff. Clear and welcoming communication with customers, suppliers, and staff for the sale of school/sports uniforms, related attire, and uniform hire, is a given.
