Tēnā koutou e te whānau whānui o Rangitoto.

With the year drawing to a close, this term’s Vista highlights the many varied successes of our students. My congratulations to all students on completing their final exams and assessments in the past few weeks. School reports are now available for Year 9 and 10 students in the Parent Portal. For senior students, IB results will be released in early January, with NCEA results following on approximately the 20th of the month. Scholarship results are due out in early February.

Over the upcoming holiday, there will be car park renovations alongside the East Coast road entrance and access will be restricted. Please be aware of notices in the newsletters advising of changes to before and after school access in 2023. A number of smaller projects will be underway around the school, with new landscaping between A wings 3 and 5 improving the environment for our students.

We are very proud that three of our teaching staff members have been promoted to senior leadership positions in North Shore schools; Ms Jenna Spencer-Bates is taking the role of Deputy Principal at Glenfield College and Mr Kane Wilson will be moving to Rosmini College as Assistant Headmaster. Within the college, Mr James Searle will be stepping into a Deputy Principal position in place of Mrs Elizabeth McKnight who is retiring after 18 years of exceptional service to Rangitoto.  We wish them, and all other staff moving on in 2023, all the best for their new adventures. I hope that you are able to have a good break over the upcoming holidays and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Patrick Gale, Principal
