On Saturday 11th June, Rangitoto Environmental Group Working Bees gathered at school and planted 165 native plants by our tree sanctuary.  It was great to see over 70 students and their whānau getting involved in the event and showing their kaitiakitanga of our environment.  All 165 plants were in the ground within two hours. A big thanks to the support of Anna Harrison from Auckland City Council; she not only provided all the nursery plants but also showed our students how to identify different invasive species before the planting day.
