The World Vision 40 Hour Challenge is an yearly fundraising event where students take a stand over 40 Hours to raise money and bring hope to thousands of children living in poverty in more than 40 countries.

The College has a long standing history of supporting the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge. Students not only raise funds but also an awareness of the impact of poverty on the lives of young people.

The 40 Hour Challenge asks students to go without something they rely on for a continuous duration of 40 hours. Whether that’s food, transportation or even their mobile phone. Students develop a sense of the needs others have in less fortunate circumstances.

In previous years Rangitoto College students raised over a whopping $15000 to go towards providing much needed support for vulnerable children living through hardship.

In order for this to be added onto their student profile, Years 9 and 10 students need to raise at least $50 through their page and sign up as part of the Rangitoto Team.
