This year marks a monumental milestone for our school as we celebrate 70 years of growth and community spirit.
Join us in celebrating our 70th Jubilee on Saturday, 1 August, at Rangitoto College.
Since its founding on 6 February 1956, Rangitoto College has grown to become the largest school in Australasia. While the school was originally planned to be named “Murray’s Bay College,” our first principal, Frank Tucker, chose to rename it after the iconic nearby volcanic island.
Over the past seven decades, we have evolved from a small 1950s school into a premier, diverse, and high-achieving institution. Our legacy is built on a consistent history of high academic, sporting, and cultural performance.
As we celebrate our 70th Anniversary this year, we warmly invite all past students, staff, and supporters to join us in honouring this incredible journey.
We look forward to celebrating this historic occasion with our entire community.
