Top Troupe Placements

Dancers from across New Zealand recently gathered in Palmerston North for the annual Dance NZ Made Nationals. This year’s competition saw an impressive performance from dancers representing Magnum, who secured a number of top placements in both the teams and solo divisions.

Magnum Junior Troupe had a particularly successful showing, earning the title of National Teams Champions in the Year 9-10 division. The troupe’s jazz routine took home first place in its category.

The studio’s older teams also performed well. Magnum Senior Company placed third in contemporary and second overall in the Year 11-13 division, while Magnum Company earned a second-place finish in contemporary and third place overall in the Open division.

Soloists Achieve Top Placements

In the solo competition, Magnum’s individual dancers showcased their talent with several high-ranking finishes.

Mia Rajaratnam led the way, securing first place in the Year 11 Solo Division and fourth place in the Overall Solo Division. Isabella Iti also made a strong impression, placing second in the Year 13 Solo Division and third in the Overall Solo Division.

Other notable soloists included:

  • Melody Weng, who finished fourth in the Year 10 Solo Division.
  • Kira Morgan, who placed fifth in the Year 11 Solo Division.
  • Sophie Lysaght, who earned fifth place in the Year 12 Solo Division.

Congratulations to all the dancers who competed and represented their studio at this national event.
