A massive bravo to our talented dancers who competed at the National Dance Challenge (NDC) at Westlake Girls High School. All five of our co-curricular groups danced their hearts out and came away with some fantastic results.
Their success is a testament to countless hours of practice, commitment, and resilience. Thank you to our supporters and wider dance community for coming out on a rainy evening to cheer on our students.
Some incredible results to celebrate:
Theatre Company – 4th Place in the Variety section
Magnum Troupe – 2nd Place in the Jazz section & Student Choreography Award
Hip Hop Mega Crew – 2nd Place in the Hip Hop section & Best Energy Award
Magnum Company – 1st Place in the Contemporary section
Overture Ballet Troupe – 1st Place in the Lyrical section, Student Choreography Award, Rise Up award and recipient of the Wild Card nomination to perform at the Finals Gala on Sunday evening.
Bella Iti, Year 13 student was also awarded a fully funded summer scholarship to Village Nation in Sydney.
A special mention to our team of student leaders who worked tirelessly on choreography, rehearsals, costuming, music editing and teaching their groups. These students include; Kira Morgan, Mia Rajratnam, Riley Weber, Izzy Katipa, Hayley Stirling, Eric Taylor, Lily Danks, Kiera Solomon, Jessica Zhu and Bella Iti.
