‘He puna ki roto, he puna ki waho’
- A spring within, a spring beyond

This whakataukī reflects the special, reciprocal relationship between tamariki and their whānau—how each nurtures and uplifts the other, and how this collective strength flows out into the wider world.

Our whānau hui, held each term, are designed to bring our Māori community together and strengthen these connections. They provide a welcoming space where whānau and tamariki can grow together in kaupapa Māori, while reflecting on the learnings and experiences of our rangatahi at Rangitoto College.

At the heart of each hui is the opportunity for our ākonga to express and celebrate the mātauranga they have gained through their engagement with te ao Māori. These gatherings empower both students and whānau, ensuring the wisdom and traditions of our ancestors remain living, shared experiences that continue to guide us today.
