We provide access to cultural knowledge, inspiring role models, engaging activities, and dedicated academic support and mentoring.
Our Māori and Pacific support staff lead a wide range of initiatives designed to uplift and empower students. These include cultural events, leadership and committee groups, career and academic workshops, pastoral care, and mentoring. We also provide school-wide professional development for teachers, ensuring high expectations are fostered through culturally responsive pedagogy.
Tū Rangatira A Year 10–13 tutor class programme led by four dedicated teachers, Tū Rangatira supports the daily practice of tikanga and mātauranga Māori. The class builds confidence in tikanga and connects students with Māori cultural experiences through a variety of kaupapa, events, and activities.
Pacific Tutor Class A combined Year 11–13 class that nurtures cultural connections while providing academic support and mentoring. Students are supported by two dedicated teachers—one focused on academic achievement and the other on creating cultural opportunities for Pacific students.
