As part events for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, you are warmly invited to join us for our final Whānau Māori Night of the year on:

When: Thursday 18th September (last week of Term 3)
Where:
Jim Titchener Parade, Devonport – Te Taua Moana marae (Navy)
Time: Please arrive between 5:40–5:45pm at the car park for a 6:00pm start for the pōwhiri. There is more parking around the corner from the marae.

Attire: Please come dressed tidy and warm.

Our students will be welcoming whānau onto the marae and will take the lead in facilitating the pōwhiri process. This is a special opportunity to support our rangatahi as they step into these roles and to celebrate the beautiful aspects of their Māori culture together.

We kindly that you bring a plate of savoury or sweet kai to share for dinner &/or pudding. Students will be available at the car park to collect kai, or it can be brought directly to the back entrance of the whare kai (kitchen).

We look forward to coming together as a whānau to uplift and support our rangatahi in this important kaupapa.
