Each year, Junior Shakespeare gives students the chance to bring one of Shakespeare’s plays to life by performing short scenes as part of a larger production.

Open to students in Years 9 and 10, the group welcomes performers of all experience levels.

The annual performance is a highlight of the year—complete with colourful costumes, props, and plenty of drama. It’s a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the dedication of students who work together to create a truly magical show.

As the Bard’s timeless plays are reimagined on stage, students discover how Shakespeare’s words still resonate today—whether through the intensity of a tragedy or the humour of a comedy.

Rangitoto Summit Diploma

Any Student who acts in the production is included.  For Backstage crew they have to attend the majority of meetings and make a meaningful contribution to the Set, Props, Costuming or Music of the production.
