We are excited for Year 9 Kotahitanga Day on Thursday 25 February! This is a fun day of team-building activities designed to welcome our Year 9 students as they embark on their high school journey at Rangitoto College.

What is Kotahitanga?

Kotahitanga is a te reo Māori concept meaning unity, togetherness, and solidarity—values we aim to foster across our Year 9 cohort.

Event Details & What to Bring:

  • Activities: Students will participate in activities and competitions with their tutor class, guided by their Tutor Teacher and Year 13 Peer Support leaders.

  • What to Wear: Non-uniform in their House colour (red, white, or blue).

  • What to Bring: Morning tea, lunch, a water bottle, and sunblock.

  • What to Leave at Home: Laptops and valuable items.

(Note: In the event of bad weather, Kotahitanga Day will be postponed to our designated rain date: Monday 15 March)
