Year 13 Geography students braved the weather in the middle of August to take part in an overnight trip to Rotorua. This was focused on the development of tourism in Rotorua over time, and relates directly to their end-of-year external exam.
We also took some time to experience some of the tourism activities Rotorua has to offer! Highlights included the sheep show at the Agrodome, experiencing the rides at Velocity Ventures, seeing the amazing geothermal activity at Te Puia, the Redwoods tree walk at night, and luging at Skyline Skyrides.
We also benefitted from an awesome educational talk about tourism through time from the experts at the Rotorua Museum. A bit wet but totally worth it!!
