We are incredibly proud of the students who competed in the SONZ Football tournament this term. It was a fast paced, high energy day, and the students perfectly demonstrated our school values: Respect, Integrity, Courage, Excellence, and Pride from start to finish.
The team faced some tough competition on the court and came away with a hard fought mix of wins and losses. To ensure total participation, the team utilised a rotating sub system where every single student got equal time in the action and played a vital role in our success.
What stood out most was the team’s determination. Each student gave their absolute best effort, and many bravely stepped out of their comfort zones. In a fantastic display of courage, the majority of the squad took a turn as goalie, which takes real grit!
Whether they were scoring goals or making brilliant saves, our students supported one another beautifully. Congratulations to the whole team; Ward Nader (Ward) Al-Madani, Jason Chen, Benjamin (Benji) Davies, Zantiana Angel (Angel) Dunuan, Maya Abigail (Maya) Gourlay, Hollie Johnson, Emily Long, Ashton Davies, Hongyi (Eason) Wu, and Dawit (David) Lee for your outstanding sportsmanship.
