On Friday 30 May, at lunchtime the energy in the auditorium was electric as the Arts Leadership Team hosted the highly anticipated Rangi’s Got Talent. The vivacious, encouraging nature of Rangitoto students was on full display as everyone enthusiastically cheered for every single one of the diverse acts, including harmonic singing, upbeat dancing, and a number of talented musicians. Creativity and skill certainly run deep at our kura! This year our panel of esteemed judges included Mr. Thornton, alongside a pair of Performing Arts Alumni.
On behalf of everyone who helped to put this event together, thank you to all who watched and participated, and a special congratulations to the acts who came in the top 3:
Third place: Amelie Toro Serna – singing
Second Place: Angela Ji and Vivian Wu – on guzheng
First Place: The Jackson 5 Gabriel Isaac (Gab) Funtelar, Isabelle (Izzy) Katipa, Chaeyeon (Chae) Lee, Wint Sandi (Sandi) Kyaw, and Lining (Clair) Sun – dancing hiphop
