Come celebrate Japanese Culture with everyone! Japan Week is a week within the school term that aims to help promote Japanese culture within our kura. Happening in Term 2 in 2026, this year’s Japan Week consisted of merch and delicious traditional Japanese food sale that students were able to enjoy, student performances, special invited performances, Japanese games/activities, and an art and photo competition! Students practiced diligently to shine on the stage and be cheered on by their fellow school peers. Students watching were able to enjoy an array of performances over 2 days, including dancing, singing, wotagei and more. Not only that, but our specially invited traditional performers showcased fascinating traditional arts and celebrations including Taiko, Kendama and calligraphy. It was an incredibly successful week that helped immerse our school body into Japanese culture — we hope to see you next year!
