Supporting Our Sports Teams
Our teams benefited from fantastic partnerships this year:
- 1st XV Rugby: For the last few years, Ray White Mairangi Bay has proudly supported our team. This fantastic partnership, led by Shane Coote and Kris Cunningham, has been a huge benefit not only to the school but also to our boys and parents, who have got to know Shane and Kris personally. We thank them immensely! We are also grateful to the many parents who sponsored our rugby boys, giving each player a different company logo to wear on their sleeve.
- Girls Rugby: A massive thank you to New World Browns Bay for so kindly donating the food for our Rugby Girls’ after-match functions! It was a fantastic way to cap off our home games. Our players and their loyal supporters truly appreciate your generosity.
- Premier Netball: Our girls proudly wore Facetime Clinic Mairangi Bay on their netball bibs for all their games. They especially enjoyed meeting owner, Mel Gladding, at the annual prizegiving and finally putting a face to the name!
- Premier Cricket: This year, Mitre10 Mega Albany sponsored our Premier Cricket team. They went the extra mile by donating gazebos to the school, helping to keep our students cool and sheltered during those long, summer cricket days.
Community & Event Support
Your support also extended across crucial school initiatives:
- Annual Golf Day Fundraiser: This big day brings together many local community sponsors for a great cause. This year, we fundraised for our Technology Department and our Student Hardship Fund. Our sincerest thanks go to:

- Our school vans, which transport students to events across Auckland and beyond, are supported by Becky Zhu of Barfoot & Thompson Browns Bay. Her face, logo, and details are proudly displayed on one of our vehicles.
- Huge thanks to Bunnings Constellation Drive for helping our Community Garden have its best year yet! Our incredible student and teacher team has been busy growing an abundance of fresh vegetables and herbs. This homegrown produce isn’t just a great learning tool—it also allows our students to use the produce for cooking in the Food Tech department as well as to share fresh supplies with our wonderful neighbours at the Knightsbridge Retirement Village.
- Every year, OfficeMax proves its dedication to our students by generously donating stationery and BYODs. This invaluable contribution directly helps our students in need, giving them the right tools to succeed. Thank you, OfficeMax, for helping Rangi continue to create great students through great opportunities!
- As a major and long-term partner, Canon plays a crucial role at Rangi. Their support established our community garden, they contributed to environment improvements e.g. garden beds, planting, and seating between A Block and the Library. In addition to supplying essential cameras and equipment for our Publicity department and aspiring student photographers, they also provide all consumables for our Art and Photography Department.
Making the Difference
Without your commitment, we simply couldn’t achieve many things, like sourcing excellent coaches and attending critical events for dance, sport, and performing arts nationwide.
