Santa’s Helpers is a special opportunity for junior students at our school to engage with the community at Knightsbridge Village. It aims to build the relationship between the school and residents by sharing Christmas cards handmade by the students, personalised for the residents who might not receive them at Christmas time.

Throughout Term 3, students spent their lunchtimes creating, designing and writing cards for their designated residents. Michael, one of the residents who made this opportunity possible, spent his time up in the classroom with us. He said it was “heartwarming” and a “privilege” to be involved with this project. Over 50 Year 9 and 10 students participated. Additionally, he said that it was a “pleasure” when over 200 cards were delivered to Knightsbridge residents by the Year 10 leaders on October 7th.

Overall, this project will hopefully bring joy to the residents at Knightsbridge Village during the Christmas period for many years to come.
