Tēnā koutou e te whānau whānui o Rangitoto,

A warm welcome to the Term 2 edition of Vista, our digital magazine dedicated to celebrating the diverse achievements of our Rangitoto College community. This term has been a whirlwind of activity, with an impressive array of events and accomplishments packed into just nine weeks.

We believe that a strong school community is built on connection, and it has been wonderful to see so many of you at our various parent information evenings this term. From traditional parent-teacher conferences and new parent education seminars to vibrant cultural celebrations, these gatherings have provided valuable opportunities for us to connect and collaborate with our wider community.

Student outreach has truly been a highlight of the term. Our thriving partnership with Arvida Knightsbridge has created fantastic opportunities for our students to showcase their talents, offer mutual support, and engage in valuable learning experiences. We’re also proud of our Years 9-11 diploma and IB CAS programmes, which recognise and celebrate student service to the community. We’ve set an ambitious goal for 2025: to log an exceptional 30,000 service hours! This directly reflects our Rangitoto ambition statement, which inspires our students to “make a positive difference in the world.”

As we look ahead, Term 3 will bring another important opportunity for connection. We’ll be reaching out as part of our strategic planning consultation for 2026-2028. Your input is invaluable in helping us chart a course that continues to challenge and support our students in the years to come. We truly hope you’ll join us in guiding this exciting pathway forward.
