Term 3 has been exceptionally busy in the Textiles Department. Our Year 10 students embarked on a creative journey by crafting wearable art costumes using materials that would have otherwise been destined for a landfill. These remarkable creations were submitted to the prestigious Eye on Nature competition held in Manukau, where one group earned a Merit Prize, proudly worn by Lily Ma.

Meanwhile, our Year 11 students were passionately engaged in designing outfits for the renowned competition, Walk the Line. Out of our talented cohort, an impressive 13 students were selected as finalists, securing their coveted spots to showcase their designs at the Walk the Line event during New Zealand Fashion Week.

Furthermore, our school’s annual Fashion Show dazzled the audience, featuring an eclectic array of garments from all year levels. The showcased creations spanned from stylish t-shirts to intricate costumes, from captivating wearable art pieces to trendy baseball shirts. It was an exhilarating and eventful term, filled with creativity and fun.
