Do you want to experience the warmth and welcoming spirit of the Philippines? Are you curious to learn more about Filipino culture? Come along—everyone is welcome!

Kabayan provides a space for both Filipinos and non‑Filipinos to connect, celebrate, and share culture together. Throughout the year, we’ll host interactive events that bring a slice of the Philippines to Rangitoto, giving students the chance to learn, participate, and have fun.

Opportunities include:

Practising Tagalog and singing Filipino songs
Learning traditional dances such as Tinikling, Bulaklakan, and Pandanggo
Experiencing authentic Filipino food and merienda

Rangitoto Summit Diploma

Students must attend a minimum of 6 sessions in order for “Kabayan” to be added onto your student profile. It is expected that you make a meaningful contribution to the events planned.
