Sustainable Coastlines is an environmental service group dedicated to protecting and restoring our natural environment through beach clean‑ups, tree plantings, and workshops on key environmental issues.At Rangitoto College, students are passionate about making a difference—recognising the impact we have on our coastlines and working together to reduce negative effects on our environment.

What We Do

This student‑run club partners with the Sustainable Coastlines charity and collaborates with other North Shore schools, including Kristin School and Westlake Boys’ and Girls’ High Schools. Together, we:

• Take part in hands‑on environmental projects
• Raise awareness about sustainability
• Problem‑solve and think creatively about real‑world environmental challenges

Coastal clean up – attend 1 x 2 hour session picking up rubbish at a local beach, have 10 points added onto profile if criteria met.  See you TiC for further information.

Te Hono – attend 1 x 2 hour session planting/weeding – have 10 points loaded onto profile if criteria met.  See you TiC for further information.

In order to have your Service Opportunities activity added to your profile in time to be recognised at prizegiving, please ensure it is added by:

• Year 9, 10 and 11: 20 November 2026
• Year 12 & 13: 24 September 2026
