BACKOn Saturday, 1 August, the Rangitoto College community gathered for an unforgettable 70th Jubilee, welcoming generations of alumni home to celebrate our shared legacy.
While the entire day was overflowing with energy and connection, the heart of our celebration belonged to our senior alumni. We were deeply honoured to welcome back 23 Foundation Students from the pioneering cohorts of 1956 to 1959. Their presence was a powerful reminder of where our story began. Standing as living pillars of our school’s history, these original trailblazers laid the ground on which seven decades of Rangitoto excellence have been built, and having them back on campus was nothing short of extraordinary.
Rangi pride was on full display across every generation. Nostalgia ran high on the sidelines as our 1990 Rugby Old Boys returned to rally behind the current 1st XV in an exciting matchup against Orewa College.
From heartfelt reconnections to memories revisited, the Jubilee was a fantastic celebration of our past, present, and future. Thank you to all the alumni who joined us to mark this milestone chapter. We look forward to seeing you again for the 75th!
