Lord Of The Flies was a great experience to be a part of. Rehearsing for the part of Sam and getting to know all the other castmates was great! Meeting my twin (Sadra Rafienzhad) and growing that connection and understanding our relationships with other characters so we can better portray the characters of Sam and Eric. Taking the time and effort out of our days to really put together a show that the audience would enjoy and be able to immerse in was good fun. We put together a show full of a rollercoaster of emotions I hoped everyone enjoyed.

Working on Lord Of The Flies was a massively fun time. Moving from our imaginations in the rehearsal space to putting it all to set and costume was a wonderful ride, and we’ve all worked our hardest to make it a big one. Huge thanks to everybody who’s worked on the show to make it as fantastic as it is.

My time in Lord Of The Flies has been enjoyable as well as a learning experience for me. Lord of the Flies has helped me develop stronger relationships with my fellow castmates, whether that be strengthening an already established friendship or making new ones. Together, our cast overcame unfortunate challenges that we faced during the rehearsal process. Playing Jack in Lord Of The Flies also helped me develop my acting abilities by forcing me out of my comfort zone and strengthening my confidence in performing.

Being a part of Lord Of The Flies has been a fun and excitable experience. I have been able to learn to take my acting skills to a new level and discover more about character relationships and taking initiative in rehearsals. I have grown to love and appreciate set design and lighting so much, and I am grateful for everyone who has been involved. Exploring the themes of Lord Of The Flies has been fascinating, and I have enjoyed bringing every detail the play offers to life.

I’ve been in Drama Company for all of my time at Rangitoto College and would not choose any other show to conclude my time other than Lord Of The Flies. Working with new casts and a new director for this show, that’s now been two years in the making, has been very fulfilling, and it’s been very pleasing to see the progress we’ve made.

It was really fun to be a part of LOTF and I really enjoyed experiencing all of the scenes. However, my favourite scene is Simon’s death as it genuinely made me terrified and scared.
