We are incredibly proud of the students who represented our school at the SONZ Athletics event this term. It wasn’t just about the finish line; our athletes truly lived out the school’s core values—Respect, Integrity, Courage, Excellence, and Pride—from the first whistle to the final event.
The track was buzzing with energy. We are thrilled to announce that all students who competed came away with certificates for placing in a wide range of races. However, the success didn’t end there. The field events were a particular highlight, allowing for mass participation and ensuring every student felt involved.
What impressed us the most was the grit on display. Each student gave their absolute best effort and showed remarkable determination. Many chose to step outside their comfort zones, bravely tackling activities they had never tried before. Whether it was soaring through a jump or throwing the shot put or javelin, their willingness to try was inspiring.
Congratulations to the following Rangitoto students: Christina He, Rhett Daverius (Rhett) Daroy, Ke (Allen) Xu, Jason Chen, Benjamin (Benji) Davies, Emma Fairgray, Maya Abigail (Maya) Gourlay, Hollie Johnson, Emily Long, Ashton Davies, Hongyi (Eason) Wu, and Dawit (David) Lee for your sportsmanship and heart.
You represented us brilliantly.
