Touch at Rangitoto College
We are excited to revitalise the fast-paced and skilful sport of Touch at Rangitoto College, which has seen limited activity since 2019. A senior mixed team proudly represented the school at Nationals in 2022, and we aim to return to that stage this year.

In early 2024, our senior girls’ team won the North Harbour competition, earning a place in the Premier Promotion/Relegation match scheduled for Week 2 of Term 1 2025.

Their efforts paid off as Rangitoto defeated Baradene in a spirited match to earn Premier status. The team went on to win bronze in the Premier Grade—a remarkable achievement that now sees them recognised as a Premier Sports Team.

Congratulations to coaches Maraea Rameka, Brownz Tagaloa and our athletes on this well-deserved success.

Looking ahead to Term 4, we are focused on building strong junior teams, with an emphasis on development and growth. Our vision is to establish a long-term foundation that will see Rangitoto consistently fielding competitive teams at both regional and national levels

TAG

Is a popular sport at Rangitoto College, attracting both boys and girls across all year levels. Our teams compete in the Central North-Western Zone tournaments, where we have consistently achieved strong results. Successful teams progress to the highly competitive Auckland Championship, where Rangitoto continues to be a strong contender.

Senior teams compete in Term 1, while junior teams take the field in Term 4.
