The Science Technician Assistant Programme is a great way to give back to Rangitoto College while gaining hands‑on experience behind the scenes of our busy Science Department.

What You’ll Do

As a Science Technician Assistant, you’ll:

Refill bottles of chemical solutions
Wash and organise glassware
Carry out stock takes
Distribute workbooks to labs
Learn basic repair and maintenance skills to keep experiments running smoothly

Rangitoto Summit Diploma

For Year 9 and Year 10 students to have this activity added to their student profile they will need to take part in 3 sessions of half an hour each (1.5 hours volunteering in total).
