Esports is competitive gaming, and each year there are several interschool competitions organised by different companies. Most games are team‑based, with recent tournaments featuring Valorant, League of Legends, NBA2K, and Rocket League. Shorter weekend competitions have also included Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics, while past years have seen events in CS:GO, Clash Royale, and Dota 2.
Our school has a proud record of success, including first place in Australasia for League of Legends and first place in New Zealand for the inaugural Valorant competition. Top teams have even been flown to Australia to compete—complete with free flights, accommodation, and prizes like gaming peripherals.
If you’re passionate about gaming, teamwork, and competition, Esports is the perfect way to test your skills and represent Rangitoto on a bigger stage.
You must play a full season for at least one game, attending more than half of the matches, to have this added onto your student profile.
