Over the end of 2025, our students achieved tremendous success in Math. The first shining result is that a total of 41 students from Rangitoto College achieved Scholarship in Calculus in 2025. Only less than 3% of the students in NZ can attain such a summit of high school calculus each year. In the scholarship calculus exam, students need to demonstrate the application of high-level mathematical knowledge and skills, perception, and insight / convincing communication shown in finding correct solutions to complex problems. These 41 students have worked hard to achieve such great success. Huge congratulations to the following students.

Another highlight was that Gwang Ho Kim, Alston Huang and Guanhan Li were invited to attend the New Zealand Math Olympiad training camp in January, a privilege of only 35 students in NZ. They have done so well in the training camp that all the three students have been selected into the NZIMO squad, which has only 15 members. After they finish the Australian Math Olympiad and the Asian Pacific Math Olympiad in February and March, 6 students will be finally selected in April and they will represent NZ to participate in this year’s IMO, which is to be held in Shanghai in July. We wish them good luck.
