North Shore Careers Expo

The North Shore Careers Expo is a two-day event that gives students the chance to meet with over 50 different organisations, including universities, tertiary training providers, employers and industry representatives from Aotearoa.

The Year 12 Gateway and Year 13 Pathways to Employment students attended during school time with the career staff/teachers.  Other senior students were encouraged to attend in the evenings with their whānau.

The students had a chance to have one-on-one chats with the exhibitors and gain insights into industries they may not have been aware of.

A great afternoon was had by all!

Work Experience

Many Year 12 Gateway and Year 13 Pathways to Employment students attend work experience in Term 2.  Industries have included construction, automotive, plumbing, hospitality, primary schools, personal training, boat building and more.  We thank our wonderful employers who provide our students with this opportunity.

The students have also attended a customer service course and other individual courses such as site safe, flight attending, interior design, beauty therapy and many more.  This laid an excellent foundation for their next steps.

We have also had various speakers present to our students so they can learn more about their industry.
