Over ANZAC weekend Rangitoto College was lucky enough to hold its 60th Reunion. The weather came to the party for the weekend as did the guests, over 460 ex pupils were treated to some of the Colleges current delights. Starting with a foundation pupils afternoon tea on Friday in the Rangi Centre with guided tours of the College by current school leaders followed by Chatters to Platters on Friday evening. For the early risers there was a Fun run around the college sponsored by Debby Candy-Gill (Barfoot and Thompson) followed by an afternoon of school taster classes. Later that evening saw the Summit Academy Dinner reach it highest numbers yet and it was very exciting to welcome four new Honourees into the Academy – Andrew Gerrie, Cam Calkoen, Justice Rebecca Edwards and Jane Freeman. Sunday afternoon guests were treated to the performing arts concert that provided an afternoon of current students and Alumni performing at their ultimate best. To finish the weekend a group travelled to the Dawn Service at the Auckland Museum to celebrate the 100th ANZAC Day Service.
