With opportunities to write their own poetry and share it with others in the group, students are able to write moving pieces about their experiences and perform them in front of others. Students from Rangitoto College have taken their spoken word poems to the stage, competing in events like the Auckland-wide “Word – The Frontline” Spoken Word Poetry Competition. Their creativity and honesty always produces amazing pieces of writing, which they perform with passion and emotion.
