Chinese Traditional Dance
Every year the Chinese Traditional Dance group prepare for performances, with fan dance and drumming being very entertaining for the audiences. The Chinese Concert is attended by hundreds of students, parents and supporters from the Chinese community.
Indian Cultural Group
Students interested in Indian Culture will meet regularly during the year and enjoy activities such as shared lunches of Indian food and watching Bollywood movies. Dress and Music Activities are also undertaken during Cultural Diversity week. An Indian Dance group is formed as part of celebrating the International makeup of the College community.
Kia ora koutou katoa. Kapa Haka is a combination of sweet singing, graceful movements and choreography as well as intense pride and passion. Our group is in the middle of an exciting transformation period with new tutors, costumes and festivals to compete in. Our aim is to showcase the already well known Rangitoto College name and talent in a context which we have never before been synonymous with - The world of Kapa Haka! Korean Fan Dance
For many years now, Korean students have impressed their audiences with the precision of their fan dance performance. The Arirang concert, which is attended by hundreds of students, parents and supporters from the Korean community.
Rangitoto College is proud owner of a magnificent Lion, which entertains the College with its lively performances. Chinese day on June 13 is a big day for the Lion. Senior students and staff members train Lion Dance volunteers from Years 9 and 10 during lunchtimes.
