Selective Entry
A ballot, supervised by a Justice of the Peace, is held to select out of zone students who can enrol at the College. Under the Ministry of Education regulations prioity in the ballot is given to siblings of existing students, then siblings of ex-students, followed by the children of the employees of the Rangitoto College Board of Trustees. A ballot is held for students at each year level.
Important Dates for the 2011 Selective Entry Ballot
Year 9
Applications must be received by 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 1 September 2010.
The ballot will be held on Monday, 6 September 2010 and all applicants will be advised of the result in writing.
Year 10 to Year 13
Applications must be received by 4.00p.m. on Friday, 22 October 2010
The ballot will be held on Friday, 29 October 2010 and all applicants will be advised of the result in writing.

Our Open Day and Information Evening were held on Monday 26th July.
Additional tours of the College will leave from the Auditorium foyer at 9.45am on the 16th, 23rd and 30th August and the 6th September.
