Alumni can engage in Rangitoto College in a number of ways, like volunteering, donating, networking, or even joining the staff. Alumni involvement allows us to make use of one of its greatest resources and ultimately build a better school. Here are five reasons why alumni engagement is important for private schools: Alumni know school culture, build school reputation, sustain school development,  provide educational opportunities to our current students, and increase a school’s network.

If you are an Alumni of Rangitoto College and would be interested in engaging with us in some way, please contact our Director of Community Relations, Sally Thompson to discuss further.

Community Relations

The goal of the Community Relations Team is to create a connected, positive, and engaged Rangi community, consisting of current and past students, staff and their families.

What we do

We manage the alumni database, events and communication. Our primary purpose is to grow the number of alumni connected to the College and with each other. This involves a calendar of events such as the Summit Academy Dinner (a special evening that encourages our entire community to come together to celebrate honoured graduates of the College, chosen by our Alumni Committee for their leadership, excellence in their field and contribution to society), reunions and sporting fixtures (including our reputable annual Golf Day). We also manage sponsorship and fundraising.
